“Bears Will Win 10 Superbowls in a Row!”

At least that was the prediction made by a guest at Christie and Shane’s wedding when asked what the next 20 years held for the couple. You see, Shane is a coach for the Chicago Bears.

We’re always amazed at the creative things couples do for their weddings and how they use the cameras we send them for their DIY wedding video.  When superstar Chicago wedding planner Melissa Phillips of Simply Perfect by Melissa contacted us about using WeddingMix to create a Video Guestbook we were delighted at the opportunity.  She knew her couple Christie and Shane were looking for a twist on standard guestbooks.  What a great idea!  The forums and blogs are full of questions and different ways to make them something you’ll actually look at more than once.

Melissa’s plan was to take standard wedding video guest wishes and really get personal and fun responses.  The problem with sticking a camera in a person’s face and asking them to say something to the bride and groom is obvious – you end up with 35 people saying the same thing.  “Congratulations, we’re so happy for you.  Have a great marriage.”  It gets really boring after the third time hearing it.  Melissa prepared a great list of 10 questions to randomly ask guests that would be sure to elicit personal responses and provide funny moments her couple could enjoy forever.
