Meet Storymix Blogger Bride: Amanda!

Hi everyone!

My name is Amanda and I blog over at twoninenine&everafter! For the last year and a half I’ve been recording the process of planning our September 2012 wedding to my wonderful fiancé, Graham. It was during my first couple of months in BlogLand that I discovered a blog by the name of “Saying I Do” (written by the awesome Laura!) and consequently ran across this great idea from StoryMix Media! Now, a month and a half out from my own wedding, I’m looking forward to utilising WeddingMix in our own big day and cannot *WAIT* to see how it turns out.

When I first read about the WeddingMix concept, I remember thinking what a fantastic idea it was – so original and a great budget friendly alternative to traditional videography. I also remember thinking it was a shame that the HD cameras didn’t ship overseas…and putting it out of my mind. Only to discover the wonderful app that will now let me share in the fun!

Being from “Down Under” (yep, I’m from Australia!) I am looking forward to our guests
getting to use the WeddingMix app at our wedding and I have to say, a lot of the reason is because I don’t know of anyone else who has done something like this at their wedding! We recently sent out our invitations and included a link to a wedding website that we had specifically created so that we could include some information about WeddingMix: how to download the app, how we hoped they could use it, and so there was a place everyone could access the code and be prepared before the big day. So far the feedback we have had from our guests has been nothing but positive! People have already started to download the app and check out the demo and have already started feeding ideas to us of how they plan to use it…most are very excited to be able to leave video messages for us to look at post-wedding – A Video Guestbook, if you will!

Graham and I are also looking forward to recording snippets in the lead up to the big day – our last unwed “date”, our rehearsal with our bridal party, our last moments before we separate for the night before the wedding, getting ready the morning of and recording our emotions before we head to the ceremony. I personally plan to record a special message for Graham before I head down to our Chapel. But mostly, we cannot wait to see the moments that everyone will record for us – the moments that they feel are special, the seconds that people will capture that we will miss and the memories that we will get to see forever that we otherwise couldn’t afford to record!
