How the bride and groom met and fell in love: We met in January 2012. A mutual friend introduced us. We feel in love. We were talking about marriage within 3 months of meeting.
The proposal: He took me to dinner at a really nice restaurant in Salado called The Range. We had a great dinner and then he popped the question.
Wedding Details: My wedding day turned out great. The day started with brunch and mimosas with all my bridesmaids, aunts, cousins, and grandmothers at this lovely tea room called Adelea’s on Main in Salado. After brunch we headed over to Tenroc where we had hair and makeup. It was so fun hanging out with all my girls getting ready. Creative Innovation created a beautiful arbor with roses for the alter at the chapel. She also made baby’s breath garland that lined the aisle. The tables at my reception were a mix of round and rectangular tables with platinum tables cloths and lace overlays. The centerpieces were a mix of lanterns, bottles, paper airplanes, vases of soft pink and white flowers and lots of candles. My husband is a pilot so we incorporated planes here and there. The cake topper was a Lear Jet with our names in it. His cuff links were airplane propellers. The table numbers and programs had custom monograms with our names and paper airplanes. etc. ect.
The theme was shabby chic and a lot of lace. My dress was an ivory lace Allure gown. I wore an ivory lace bolero for the ceremony. My shoes were L.K. Bennett London blush heels (to match my bridesmaids blush dresses). My bridesmaids all chose different long, blush dresses from Bella Bridesmaid.
We had about 150 guests. The ceremony was perfect. Salado United Methodist Historic Chapel is BEAUTIFUL. Adam Lozoya Event Pianist played a mix of old hymns and modern hits like Rhianna’s “We Found Love” while the guests were being seated. He absolutely set the tone. He played Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” while my bridesmaids and I walked down the aisle (amazing). Wouldn’t change a thing. It was perfect. Here’s a taste:
After the ceremony my husband and I left the chapel in his great grandfather 1960 Ford pick up truck and headed to the reception at Tenroc Ranch.
The guests had cocktails on the lawn. There were lawn games and a giant hay bale couch. Confetti Rentals strung a canopy of lights on the lawn that glowed all night long.

I had three different cakes and chocolate bedazzled bon bons. My groom doesn’t like cake. He had Aunt Nancy’s peach cobbler as a grooms cake.
We shared our first dance with “the matchmakers.” My groom and I started the dance and then the DJ asked my college roommate and her husband (also a pilot and matchmaker) to join in. It was a lot of fun.
The DJ was great. We danced and had a great time. We changed clothes when the limo arrived to take us to DFW. We left with a mess of bird seed in our hair. Great night.

[…] If you had to describe your wedding in one word what would it be? This is the key to your shot list. Imagine your wedding being featured on your favorite wedding blog. These are some of the scenes important to include in your wedding video. Ok, cute shoes don’t necessarily translate well to video. But, if you’re rocking a zombie wedding, make sure to include all of those zombie details. If your wedding is rustic chic, capture it all. Here is Holley’s gorgeous Texas rustic wedding video. […]
