What’s Your Wedding Photo Style: Visual Cheat Sheet for Your Perfect Pics
If there is one thing I’ve learned from helping my mom prepare for her upcoming July wedding, it’s that there is a way to photograph a 20-something bride and there is a way to photograph a 50-something bride.
Don’t get me wrong, my mom is the absolute cutest — especially twirling around her tea-length wedding dress. But in her words: “I already had a big wedding when I was in my 20s. I don’t need a photographer that will make me look cupcake. I am throwing this wedding to DANCE. I will be on that dance floor all night!” Yep, my mom is basically amazing.
Needless to say, my mom does NOT want a photographer that will make her wedding look all idealistic and fluffy. She wants someone to capture all the real stuff – the hysterical laughter, the genuine well-wishes, my 14-year-old brother grabbing my head and giving me a noogie when I’m not looking (there is a 95% chance this will actually happen)
While an ultra-stylized wedding shoot would not appeal to my mom, there are tons of brides that would love their wedding photo style to be totally trendy and artistic. And that’s totally OK. Each bride has a different sense of fashion, a different sets of likes and dislikes, a different lifestyle — so shouldn’t their wedding photo style be just as unique?
That’s why I love this What’s Your Wedding Photo Style infographic I found on Midwest Travel Service and created by Simply Bridal!
