That’s why I knew I had to interview Casey about the too-adorable Father Daughter dance songs that she and her dad chose for her wedding day! 1. Whose idea was to do a Father/Daughter dance?

It was both my dad and my idea. We’re both criers so we knew we had to do something fun for the Father/Daughter dance so we didn’t make all the guests uncomfortable with our blubbering. I take dance classes through a company called Funkmode and my dad thought it would be fun to have them choreograph something for us to learn.

2. What song did you choose?

We started with “My Girl” because it’s SO sappy that thought it would be a good juxtaposition from “Footloose”. We picked “Footloose” because we wanted everyone to be excited to dance with us at the end. “Footloose” is a great song for all generations.

5. Anything else you’d like to share this moment?

I loved that my siblings and mom were able to participate too. The wedding was a big deal for my whole family and getting to practice a dance with them took some of the stress out of the wedding planning process. It was probably my favorite part of planning the wedding.
