Real Advice From the Bride & Groom!
1. What part of your wedding planning you are most proud of?
We were able to have a beautiful wedding, with lots of DIY and non-traditional choices that saved us money. The best part is we have lots of talented friends who helped out with decorations, sound, photography, and music as part of their gifts to us. One of the most fun things was making bouquets with my bridesmaids.
2. Where did you get married?
Saratoga Springs, in Saratoga, California. It’s a gorgeous picnic area with lots of trees, streams, and lights. It didn’t need much decoration. We chose it because we wanted an outdoors location, and we had many adventure dates hiking through the woods.
3. Tell us why using the WeddingMix app was appealing for your big day?
We wanted a wedding video without having to spend thousands on it. We were going to do a very basic home video before we found the app. Being able to include our friends’ video and having an edited final product for a great price were both important.
4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
We made our wedding our own. Traditional in some ways, unique in others. We decided what was important to us (our venue) and what wasn’t so important (fancy cake). We figured out what we could do ourselves (flowers) and what our friends could help us with (sound and music). We enjoyed the evening so much, but it rushed by. We’re looking forward to seeing the video to relive that wonderful day!
