Perfect Wedding at Fordham University

What do you get when you combine a timeless college campus and a gorgeous inn? The backdrop for Katie and John’s perfect wedding, of course! By starting the ceremony at the famous Fordham University and ending the festivities at the beautiful Crabtree’s Kittle House & Inn, this couple truly took advantage of the exquisite locations that the state of New York has to offer. With the help of these unforgettable settings, as well as some wonderful guests and a delicious cake, this wedding was absolutely perfect!

1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

We were proud of and excited about all of it! Our ceremony was amazing – and our priest, Father Tom, was a hugely important piece of that for us. It was actually a lot of fun to put the Mass together. For the reception, we’re just so proud of our wonderful choice in vendors! From our venue, to our band, our photographer and WeddingMix, we really feel like we had a perfect day that reflected us in a lot of ways.

2. Where did you get married?

Our ceremony was at Fordham University in the Bronx, and our reception was at Crabtree’s Kittle House & Inn in Chappaqua, NY.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

WeddingMix appealed to us because we really didn’t want another camera following us around all day and distracting us from really enjoying ourselves, or making us feel like we had to be “on” all day. With WeddingMix, the story is being told through our guests, which we felt was much more meaningful. We both remember our experience that day so clearly – we’re so thrilled to be able to see what our family and friends saw!

4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?

Walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing all of our family and friends – and of course John at the end of it – was a moment I can’t quite put into words. Turning around and seeing everyone in church at the end was another one. For the reception, our first dance, our dances with our parents were really special – and the end of the night when our wonderful venue left us our two slices of cake so we could sit alone in the room and enjoy it and just try to digest the day was really cool.

5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?

Our guests were really amazing with using their own personal devices to capture moments, and we’re excited to see what they did with the cameras! It really gave us a totally different perspective instead of just reliving the moments we actually were a part of!
