Traverse City Wedding Video

Kara and Brad celebrated an incredible wedding, surrounded by loved ones. Their Traverse City wedding video showcases the strong love between the couple and the elegance of the ceremony!

1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

Honestly, I’m most proud of my vendors. I looked long and hard for amazing vendors that fit our style and personality while keeping within our budget. Many of our vendors (floral design, photographer, and cake artist especially) were not all that well known, but after meeting them and seeing their work we knew they would be a perfect fit for our needs.

They outperformed any and all expectations we had! Stems and Sprigs and Ben Law Photography were very interested in getting to know Brad and I as a couple, we weren’t just another wedding to them. They really helped make my vision come alive, as they believed I had imagined something special! It was an honor to work with them and I think we created something amazing as a team.

2. Where did you get married?

We got married in Traverse City, Michigan. We live in the Ann Arbor area, but decided on Traverse City for many reasons. Our wedding was July 23rd, so first and foremost, as lovers of the outdoors and northern Michigan, we wanted everyone to enjoy a weekend “Up North” in the middle of the summer.

We think it’s beautiful there and wanted our friends and family, many of which were from out of state, to experience it. We were married at the beautiful Bethlehem Lutheran Church and our reception was at Frog Pond Village in Interlochen.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

I liked the idea of using WeddingMix because it was collaborative. We will now be able to experience the day again and again from so many different perspectives! It was fun and interactive and our guests really enjoyed the challenge of capturing the essence of the day.

4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?

It was an absolutely amazing day, we were very lucky. There were so many wonderful moments! Walking down the aisle is a moment I will never forget, but I hope to have captured along with my dad giving me away, our vows, and special parts of our sermon. The speeches and dances were also spot on! I hope to see many moments of joy and friendship and love that were made possible by our wedding day!

5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?

WeddingMix was easy to use. We just asked a good family friend to manage our GoPro and the rest was history. The microphone and tripod that were provided made getting good and clear footage easy. The moments that weren’t captured by the GoPro and mic were still able to be caught as all of our guests became pseudo-videographers, too!

A videographer wouldn’t have been able to catch many of the personal or less inclusive moments that I know my friends and family have now been able to contribute because of WeddingMix.
