1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

Being able to create an unforgettable day for my hubby & I to celebrate our love with our closest family and friends.

We had a professional photographer and wanted to ensure we really captured the “fun” aspect. We thought about a photo booth, but really liked the idea of seeing and hearing all of our family and friends!

All of the dancing, especially the groom’s smooth Michael Jackson moves.

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

Do not be afraid to think outside the box and this is really YOUR day, so make it yours!

I tried on multiple dresses/styles at a bridal chain store with my bridesmaids to see what fit and looked best on me, then went online afterwards to find a dress that was the style I(we) decided upon. I found a prom dress in ivory online at only a fraction of the cost of the dress I tried on at the bridal store AND I was able to order it custom made to my dimensions, so no fittings!”

This allowed me to spend a little extra in other places such as renting a margarita machine for our signature drinks (lime margaritas and peach bellinis, for our cinco de mayo ceremony), having a professional sandcastle built at our reception, having the hair and makeup artists come to us for on-site prep the day of the wedding, and even surprise the groom with a groom’s cake shaped like our cats at the rehearsal dinner.

I substituted shells (beach wedding) for flowers as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and most of the decor. I was able to plan and prepare just what I wanted in advance with the added bonus that everyone could keep his/her shell(s) as a memento, including getting to save my bouquet (which I did not throw as it was quite hefty)! All the Etsy items I ordered MONTHS in advance and cost less than $500 total!”
