This fun WeddingMix video was filmed at Brenda and John’s wedding. These exciting moments were captured by their family and friends, who used their own cameras along with the WeddingMix app and rental cameras.
I loved the idea of being able to be more involved in the creation of our wedding video and the intimacy of having our friends and family film moments of our special day…and the cost savings compared to a traditional videographer didn’t hurt! – Brenda

Advice from Brenda and Jon!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
My gown and the floral arrangements – we did just about everything DIY and these were our biggest projects. My beautiful gown was custom made by my mother with the skirt and trim of her own wedding gown and a new bodice. It was the most special thing to be able to put on the dress that she married my father in 38 years ago. For the floral arrangements we used handmade sola wood flowers, dyed them and assembled with silk flowers and greenery, paper flowers, and handmade sailcloth canvas flowers from an old sail I had. This fit perfectly into the nautical theme shown in many details of the wedding.
2. Where did you get married?
We were married at my family’s home on Clubfoot Creek in Havelock, NC.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
I loved the idea of being able to be more involved in the creation of our wedding video and the intimacy of having our friends and family film moments of our special day…and the cost savings compared to a traditional videographer didn’t hurt!
4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
We made a mistake when video recording our moments praying together before the ceremony, but I really do hope they were captured in the audio recording. That was the most special moment of the entire day. First dances were a close second.
5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Don’t be afraid to do it yourself – give those projects a shot and you might just impress yourself!
