Beautiful Arboretum Wedding in Guelph, Ontario
101-150, Local, Traditional, Summer, Canada, MuseumCheers to bride Victoria! She walked down the aisle in the stunning Guelph Arboretum. She and her party took in the fresh forest air as they celebrated the day. Watch Victoria’s first dance and take in the decor and scenery in her WeddingMix wedding video below!
This gorgeous wedding video was shot by the bride and groom’s guests. They had a fabulous time capturing every candid moment with their own cameras along with the WeddingMix app!
Booking a videographer felt like a big piece of the budget that would be used towards a video that we wouldn’t watch often. By going with weddingmix, we could get videos taped by our friends and family and have something incredibly special and unique to us. No other wedding video will be like ours, as everyone’s will be different, but this felt extremely personal and just for us.” – Victoria

Advice from the bride!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
I think I’m most proud of the fact that after everything that was going on this year we didn’t end up needing a wedding planner and we did it all ourselves. We booked our perfect venue, we booked our dream photographer, and everything turned out to be just beautiful.
2. Where did you get married?
We got married at the Arboretum in Guelph Ontario, and had the reception at the Italian Canadian Club in Guelph.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
Booking a videographer felt like a big piece of the budget that would be used towards a video that we wouldn’t watch often. By going with weddingmix, we could get videos taped by our friends and family and have something incredibly special and unique to us. No other wedding video will be like ours, as everyone’s will be different, but this felt extremely personal and just for us.
4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
We had made sure that during the ceremony our guests had their cellphones away, and specifically wanted to just have photographs taken by our photographer. We broke out the weddingmix cameras during the reception and had them passed around during the whole night! We left it completely up to our guests on what they wanted to say to the cameras, what they wanted to tape, etc. They had an absolute blast with it! My best friend’s husband was taping the speeches for us which I thought was a great help as well.
5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
We didn’t set out a solid budget when we started our wedding planning. We created a spreadsheet and calculated the costs as they added up, and we had some help along they way from both of our families as well. We got our reception hall rental for free as my husband’s nonna is a member of the ICC. We DIY’d a few décor options, bought some decorations for $0.99 on ebay, and we had a big Stag N Doe in July that had a ton of donated prizes which raised us a lot of money. The venue we picked to get married at, the Arboretum, only cost $500 to rent. There are specific things that we wanted that we splurged on because we knew that it was a big day, and you want the day to be beautiful, but you really have to pick out what matters in the long run and what isn’t as important. We went big on our photographer, because the photos last a lifetime. The best thing was making that spreadsheet so we could track who paid for what, who we still owed money to, and what we had put deposits down on. We came up with a few formulas on excel and created an easy tracker.
