How to Choose a Wedding Venue: 15 Helpful Tips to Consider
When thinking of how to choose a wedding venue, I like to think of the ceremony and reception location(s) as the “frame” of a couple’s wedding day. From chapel ceremonies and hotel ballrooms, to outdoor vows and barn celebrations, a wedding venue should reflect a bride and groom’s unique style! Even more importantly, your wedding venue is the place you’ll envision when you remember all your favorite wedding memories!
For example, check out the awesome indoor South Asian ceremony and outdoor flash mob dance session that one of our WeddingMix couples caught on film:
While personal preference definitely plays a major role in picking a reception venue, any bride knows that budget, space size, and available vacillates are important things to consider. That’s why we love Templetree Leisure’s infographic on how to choose a wedding venue! A very helpful infographic with some great tips. I think finding the venue can be one of the most stressful things. Most of the time, people have a preconceived idea of what their venue looks like and it can be difficult to find a place that matches that idea. The good thing is that the options are limitless. A chapel, a hotel, a golf resort, a beach…there are plenty of choices. I do think that another tip is to sort everything out well in advance. Usually the venue needs to be booked months in advance to secure it. Once you have made a choice, you should make a move to book it to avoid missing out.
