1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

Turning the ordinary picnic grove into our wedding paradise! It took a lot of effort, planning, and help from many friends and family but our wedding was perfect and just how we imagined it to be!

2. Where did you get married?

We knew we wanted to spend a reasonable amount of money on our big day and couldn’t afford to blow a large portion of our budget on videography, which we were prepared to cut out.

Being able to watch and remember moments that we may have missed or forgotten about. I love being able to watch our ceremony (that seems to have passed by in a blur) and my dad’s thank you speech and blessing still brings tears to my eyes.

6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

Remember not to skimp on the parts of your wedding that will be most memorable to guests and yourself (i.e. the food, the dancing, and the photography). The rest no one will notice if it isn’t up to Pinterest standards. We saved money by making a lot of our decorations, re-purposing items, and buying wholesale flowers.

You WILL go over budget inevitably in some places but it’s important to not stress about it! And if you are on a super tight budget don’t be afraid to cut things that maybe are forgettable, like the photo booth or guest favors.
