3 Simple Tips to Getting a Custom Wedding Video with a DIY Budget | Vanessa + Paul
We’re joined today by guest blogger bride Vanessa. I’m especially excited to feature Vanessa because she took so much care in selecting her scenes in our online storyboard to create a custom wedding video.
Her first step in customizing her video was to have friends and family capture clips on both their iPhones and the rented Storymix HD cameras. She also used our guest uploads option to include clips that guests shot on other cameras and phones – right through their computers.
Next, she used our storyboard to direct a cinema-style multicam effect using the same scene shot at various angles on the individual phones and cameras.
Lastly, to truly add to her customization – she had us create a special Mix and Match theme – using the font from one theme, music from another, and graphics from a third.
Our ceremony and reception were on the riverboat “Commodore’s Pup” on Lake Austin.
We put captions on the most significant spots and tried to make them fun. This was especially important, as my brother had the only clip of me reading the letter from my (deceased) dad, just before the ceremony. Also tried to spread them out over the entire video.
