6K Wedding at River Pines Resort, California
$0 - $10K, 101-150, Local, Traditional, Summer, West Coast, ResortCheers to bride Kaitlyn! She had a gorgeous $6K wedding at River Pines Resort, California. Her wedding was simple yet stunning with the natural beauty of the venue. See the gorgeous venue, and watch the couple have their romantic first dance in their video below!
This fun wedding video was shot by the bride and groom’s guests. They had a great time capturing the ceremony, and the couple’s first dance with their own phones along with the WeddingMix app.
WeddingMix was appealing because it was important to myself as the bride to have videos of our day but again on a budget. WeddingMix was the perfect option to catch the important “serious” parts of the wedding and the funny candid ones that everybody really enjoys! It was so easy!”-Kaitlyn

Advice from the bride!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
The part of the wedding planning process we are most proud of was being able to plan and keep to our DIY low budget. We did not want a big extravagant wedding but also wanted it to be beautiful and romantic. We both feel like we nailed it!
2. Where did you get married?
River Pines Resort in beautiful Graeagle, CA. The area we both grew up in and currently live!
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
WeddingMix was appealing because it was important to myself as the bride to have videos of our day but again on a budget. WeddingMix was the perfect option to catch the important “serious” parts of the wedding and the funny candid ones that everybody really enjoys! It was so easy!
4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
My biggest budget tips is remembering no one remembers or cares what silverware, dishes you use. At least none of my guests. Little details that seem so important really aren’t, when it’s all over. And if it doesn’t matter to you as a couple, then don’t do it. Especially if your paying for it yourself!
I bought my original wedding dress for $1200 (over what I wanted to pay) but I was in love with it. After a couple months I tried it back on and didn’t like it anymore. The dress was just as beautiful, but I had a change of heart. I took it back in to the store and fortunately they let me exchange as long as I paid the same amount in store as the original price.
I found the most beautiful and perfect dress off the rack for $299!!! I left the store that day with my dress, three bridesmaid dresses, my veil, and all under garments for the same amount of the original dress. Huge savings and what is better then finding your perfect dress?!!
The other thing I insisted was having a lot of flowers. I bought them all wholesale from Costco and made the center pieces and bouquets on my own. The wind was so bad the day of that it kept blowing over the centerpieces! We ended up with no real flower décor like I had wanted except our bouquets.. and in the end, I was OK with it! Just wish I had saved that extra money!
