I am proud of the fact that we stayed under budget for our wedding. I planned the whole event in less than 6 months and completed most of the decorations, including bouquets and centerpieces, myself.
Where did the ceremony take place?
We got married at the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.
Why did you decide using WeddingMix was the way to go for your wedding?
WeddingMix seemed like the perfect way to get our guests involved in the ceremony. It was personalized and gave us an opportunity to see our big day through the eyes of the people who are most important in our lives. It was a fun, new way to allow people to use their cell phones and to include social media.
What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
I will never forget the way I felt that morning. It was a mix of excitement and anticipation of the day we had worked so hard to get to. I couldn’t wait to see his face as he saw me for the first time. I had tears in my eyes during our vows and our first dance as husband and wife was absolutely my favorite memory of the day.
What role did WeddingMix play in helping to capture those memories?
Our friends and family captured pictures and videos of us dancing, smiling, laughing, and caught those silly moments, such as the shoe game, when they asked who was messier and who spends more time on facebook. We were able to see pictures from every angle and every perspective. Some people shot very tender moments, and some pictures reminded us of the fun that we had throughout the party that night. It was a special way to connect us all and to capture all the best moments of our day.
Now that it’s all said and done, what one word would you use to describe your wedding?
Poetic. It was everything a perfect poem could have. It was romantic, beautiful, and a dream come to life.
