50-100, Destination, Casual, Summer, Carib/S. America, South, West Coast, BeachCheers to the bride and groom! They walked down the aisle at their stunning Oahu, Hawaii wedding. The ceremony was a laid back yet breathtaking affair that will make every future bride envious for years to come. Check out the breathtaking scenery of the ceremony, and see the couple have their sparkling first dance in their video below!
This intimate wedding video was shot by the bride and groom’s guests. They had a fabulous time capturing everything from the ceremony to the dance floor lights with their own cameras along with the WeddingMix app.
We didn’t need or want professional videography per se, but definitely wanted a way to capture all the key moments so that we could watch again just the two of us – the ceremony, the grand entrance, our first dance, and the speeches. So WeddingMix was the perfect home video feel that would meet our needs and our budget.”- Char

Advice from the bride!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
That we were able to make our wedding a FUN and unique experience for all of our friends and family – with welcome drinks, catamaran boat ride to our ceremony, lawn games, photo bus, and shave ice station. And overall, our wedding had an intimate and relaxed feel – totally capturing the Hawaiian island vibes.
Also, very proud that our wedding didn’t have a big production feel – it really showcased us at as a couple, adding touches that are important in our lives – travel, adventure, having fun, and some simple dinosaur/Jurassic Park touches for my groom.
2. Where did you get married?
Kualoa Ranch (a.k.a. Jurassic Valley) on Oahu in Hawaii – ceremony at Secret Island, reception at Molii Gardens.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
We didn’t need or want professional videography per se, but definitely wanted a way to capture all the key moments so that we could watch again just the two of us – the ceremony, the grand entrance, our first dance, and the speeches. So WeddingMix was the perfect home video feel that would meet our needs and our budget.
4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
When Travis heard the surprise song of what I was walking down the aisle to! ‘Welcome to Jurassic Park’ song, his favourite movie and fitting because we were in ‘Jurassic Valley’.
5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Really think about what truly matters before you spend your money on something nobody else would notice! A lot of brides worry and spend money on small details that might not matter much.
For example we had fresh pineapples as aisle markers at our ceremony that we reused as our centerpiece at our reception – something that didn’t break the bank; also, we reused some flowers from bridesmaids’ bouquets to put on the cake.
