Real advice from the Bride & Groom!
1. When it came to wedding planning, what would you say you are most proud of?
Dominique and I are proud of a couple things:
1) As soon as we got engaged, we decided on a budget. Every decision and purchased stemmed from that budget. We focused on the things that mattered the most to us and didn’t worry about the little details that we wouldn’t remember.
2) I worked very hard to make our wedding special. I was always planning or crafting. I made several chalkboards myself, my family helped wrap mason jars in burlap, my cousin Shane made beautiful steel pieces, and family and friends helped decorate the venue. I had a vision for our wedding and made that come to life all while staying on budget.
2. Where did your wedding take place?
We got married in Lohrville, Iowa. I grew up there. We were married in the United Methodist Church that I have attended her whole life. It’s such a beautiful church with beautiful stained glass windows. I always knew I wanted to get married where my relationship with Jesus started.
3. Why was WeddingMix right for your wedding?
4. Which moments from your big day do you want to remember for the rest of your life?
So many! First, my mom and matron of honor, Alisa, helping me put my dress on, then the first look with my dad and brother, and seeing Dominique for the first time. When we heard each other say our vows, our first dance, dancing with our mom and dad, toasts, the amazing music by our talented family during both the ceremony and first dance/family dance, and our family and friends enjoying the evening.
5. Was WeddingMix able to help capture those moments?
We had our amazing friend Natalie Gemberling video everything all day long.
Then with the four cameras provided from WeddingMix we were able to capture all the special moments on video, and also see the big moments from our guests perspective. We will be able to cherish our special day forever thanks to WeddingMix!
