Tell us what part of your wedding planning you are most proud of.
The personal touches. For example, Henry and I got to know each other as teammates on a pub trivia team. We made trivia napkins with questions about ourselves and our guests, which was a way for our guests to be engaged and interact with each other in a fun way. Another touch was the cotton in my bouquet – a nod to my family’s history as cotton farmers in Texas.
Where did you get married?
We were married at Cline Cellars in Sonoma, CA. Henry and I loved going to Sonoma on weekend trips when we lived in San Francisco, so getting married at a winery was special to us.
Why was the WeddingMix video app was appealing for your big day?
We wanted to capture the wedding from the perspective of our funny, creative guests. A professional videographer would be able to record an outsider’s view, but only our own guests could let us see what it was like to be in their shoes.
What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
My favorite part of the wedding day was probably getting ready with my bridesmaids. We had champagne and cheese and just chilled out and enjoyed the beautiful day and each others’ company. The ceremony was also really unique. Our officiant was a close friend with a good sense of humor that kept the guests entertained through the formalities.
How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?
Having four different cameras (plus phones!), we were able to get all different perspectives of the big day. We gave cameras to each side of the family as well as our college friends so that we could see what each group was up to throughout the event.
