1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

We were most proud of how much our family and friends got to be a part of everything. Our families (and friends who are essentially family) are very important to us and we knew we wanted to make that a main focus of our wedding.

We had a more traditional ceremony and incorporated many of the Mexican traditions so we could honor people we care about and who have played big roles in our lives. So many others helped us prepare and set up or just helped us have an amazing time by being there. It really made the whole day feel like a group effort and filled us with happiness, love, and support. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our marriage.

2. Where did you get married?

We had our ceremony at the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, TX. Our reception was down the road at Zaza Gardens in downtown San Antonio.

Deciding what was most important to us up front helped a lot. This helped us make sure the rest didn’t take up too much effort or budget. Also, expect the unexpected and don’t be afraid to get creative and take chances to solve some problems.
