1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

Planning our wedding was a true joint effort between my (now!) husband and I. We were able to make it completely and uniquely ours. We were so proud of our wedding vows – we each wrote them ourselves and they really made the ceremony so personal and special. We were also so proud of the reception we planned – it was so fun and filled with great music, food and dancing!

2. Where did you get married?

We got married in Fort Collins, Colorado. The ceremony was in the my parent’s backyard on a lake and the reception was at a venue in City Park.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

Spending a lot of money on a videographer was not in our budget – we put a significant amount of dollars towards a fantastic still photographer. But, we still want to capture at least the ceremony on video so we could re-watch it – nothing fancy! I always love watching the video of my parent’s wedding ceremony… no frills, just the raw experience.

4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?

The most important moments that were captured were definitely the speeches at the ceremony and the reception.

6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

You are definitely going to go over your budget at least a little 🙂 Once you are a few weeks out from the big day, it’s just easier to yes to things to take the stress away! But it is possible to budget! Create a budget when you are early in the planning process and decide as a couple where you want to spend the big chunks of money.
