1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

I’m really proud of the beautiful venue we picked and all of the DIY decorations we put together, and how much I tried to thrift other cute wedding items!

2. Where did you get married?

We got married at the Barnsite and Retreat Center in Kewaunee, Wi.

The most important things WeddingMix captured was the ceremony and pictures of the rehearsal dinner and getting ready for the big day!

Our wedding budget tips would be to save early and break down payments into groups, and skip unnecessary things that guests won’t really miss like programs or party favors.

Our guests didn’t even take them home.. maybe because of poor placement on our part, but that money spent went to waste and no one really noticed they forgot their favor. Also buying your own booze helped us save money, and we got to keep the left over wine and beer!
