Tell us what part of your wedding planning you are most proud of.

I’m proud of my mom and my mother-in-law for how they behaved. They weren’t pushy or constantly giving me unwanted wedding advice as I had expected and that was really nice. I’m also proud of how my fiance and I got everything done in a very timely matter mostly on our own. The last few weeks were stressful, but not because of procrastinating.

Where did you get married?

We got married at Pettibone Resort, La Crosse WI.

Tell us why using the WeddingMix app was appealing for your big day?

I really wanted a wedding video. I had one friend who loved hers, watched it every year on her anniversary, and another friend who said the one thing he regretted about his wedding was not getting a video. My fiance and I were paying for everything ourselves though, and couldn’t afford a professional videographer. WeddingMix had good reviews, was inexpensive, and I thought our family and friends would have the personal insight to really make an especially good video. So it sounded perfect!

What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?

There were so many! The moment my friend came up to me at the wedding to say she was sorry she hadn’t come to the bachelorette party, but the reason was that she just found out she’s pregnant! Dancing the first dance with Randall, while his cousin’s two small daughters swirled around us like little planets. All the speeches. Dancing with my grandpa, my sister absolutely bawling on the side of the dance floor because it was such a cute scene. The ceremony, all the tears. The Great Reveal, and the expression on Randall’s face. My mom and I alone in my bedroom with her helping me into my wedding dress. Trying to get the “sparkler picture”. So many many moments!
