I didn’t hire a videographer due to cost, but also due to the fact I didn’t want a stranger capturing the moments, I wanted an actual guest of the wedding to capture the moments.

Real advice from the Bride & Groom!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
The part of planning I’m proudest of is that we used a local venue, right up the street from where we live, we used a local caterer who I adore, and we used a local wine shop to provide the wine. I’m proud we got to use local vendors that I will continue to use and support even after the wedding!
2. Where did you get married?
We got married at The Gallaher Mansion at Cranbury Park in Norwalk, CT. The ceremony was supposed to be outside on the lawn…but it rained. So we had a very intimate ceremony inside the mansion, which ended up being perfect.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
WeddingMix was appealing because I knew I was going to want to see aspects of our wedding that I didn’t get to pay attention to throughout the night. I wanted to see who was talking to who and how everything looked from a guest’s perspective. I didn’t hire a videographer due to cost, but also due to the fact I didn’t want a stranger capturing the moments, I wanted an actual guest of the wedding to capture the moments.
4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
My wedding planner’s assistant was the one with the WeddingMix camera and she filmed the entire ceremony which was so amazing to go back and watch. She also “interviewed” my dad right after the ceremony and it made me cry.
5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Top budget tip is to not get too carried away. Between Pinterest and Etsy and wedding websites you can really get swept up in thinking you need everything you see…and you don’t! Spend your money on what is important to YOU!
