1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

We are most proud of our color scheme and the decor for the wedding. I spent hours and hours (and hours and hours!) on Pinterest looking at different color schemes and decor vibes. I didn’t have a specific theme or idea in mind, but over time while working with our wedding coordinator, we were able to create the exact feeling of elegance and whimsy that I was going for! On the day of the wedding I saw the tent decorated before the guests arrived and I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for and I was so proud and excited to see my vision right before my eyes.

We got married at Rock Creek Country Club in Portland, OR!

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

WeddingMix was a perfect fit for us because we wanted video of our wedding but we didn’t want the formality of hiring a videographer. We loved the idea of getting guests involved and getting to see our wedding through their eyes. We saved one camera to keep for getting ready and for before the ceremony shots (putting the dress on, first look…). That was really important to us since the morning flew by so quickly!

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

Our top wedding budget tip is to research a LOT before settling on a vendor. Price comparison helped us throughout the process to make sure we were on target with what other brides paid for similar services. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of vendor choices, so it’s important to step back and research average costs before choosing.
