Advice from the bride!

1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the little details that all fell into place on my wedding day. I spent a lot of time handpainting sings, scrubbing live oysters, bleaching them and painting them so I could handwrite place cards. I had a lot of fun decorating for the wedding with my family and my bridesmaids. Once the wedding was over I was sad because I had no reason to spend every weekend crafting and painting. it was so much fun to coordinate all the beachy décor.

2. Where did you get married?

I got married in Chincoteague island, VA. My parents honeymooned there and we have gone to the island every year for family vacation since I was toddler. We absolutely love the small town feel and seeing the wild horses.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

Wedding mix was appealing because it was simple and affordable. It allowed us to individualize how we wanted our video to turn out. I loved the home video feel of having all the clips together.

4. What were the most important moments that weddingmix was able to capture on your special day?

There were SO many moments that my friends who video taped were able to capture on our wedding day. There were moments caught that I didn’t even know existed. My friends were able to bring the cameras on the dance floor and really document the fun feeling of dancing with all of our family and friends beside us so we can relive the moment over and over

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

I definitely think planning ahead saved me SOOO much money. I had a lot of my family friends help with set up and break down. Honestly every vendor was either a friend or family allowing us to one save money and two have vendors who reallyyyy understood us as a couple and made our day even more special having them be such an important part.

For example, our bartender was my coworker who I have worked with for years who also runs a bartending side gig. Our photographer was a good family friend of my best friend from college. It was amazing how many people we were able to pull together from our friends to help.
