1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

We’re proud that we found a way to make our wedding really personal. We decorated a tin wall with embroidered and cross-stitched pieces that Jennifer made for the wedding, since she is really crafty. Alfred and his friends are musicians, so we had a wedding jam at the end of the night.

2. Where did you get married?

We got married at the beautiful TerrAdorna venue in Manor, Texas.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

We really wanted to find a way of documenting our wedding without having to spend money on a videographer. Crowd sourcing our wedding video was a fun and appealing idea to us. All we cared about was capturing our special day on camera.

4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?

The processional down the aisle, all the first dances (couple, Jennifer and her dad, and Alfred and his mom), and the wedding jam!

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

Don’t be afraid to try something untraditional to save money. We got married on a weekday, which really helped our budget. We hired a restaurant to cater our wedding, versus using a traditional caterer. We didn’t have a DJ either – we just made our own Spotify playlists. We were nervous about it, but it worked out really well!
