5 Wedding Photo Checklist Tips from Real Brides
Real advice from the Bride & Groom!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
DIY, DIY, DIY!! The part of the wedding planning process that I am most proud of is that our wedding was completely DIY. Our wedding truly reflected my husband and me. Our touches were everywhere. I had just over a year to plan our wedding so it gave me plenty of time to slowly compile all of our decorations. I finally had an excuse to go to the craft store on a regular basis and craft chalkboards, signs, and paint vases all weekend long!
We also went to Pike’s Place Market and created the centerpieces, bridesmaid’s bouquets, and boutonnieres from local, fresh-cut flowers. There was so much love put into the planning process by our family and friends, we couldn’t have planned this wedding without them!
2. Where did you get married?
We were married at the Hall at Fauntleroy in Seattle, Washington. We had our ceremony outdoors on their ceremony lawn and then moved indoors for the reception.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
What I love most about WeddingMix is having the chance to re-live our wedding from our guests’ eyes. To me, being able to watch our video from the perspective of our guests is such an authentic way to tell our wedding story.
4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
From the beginning, my husband and I said that all we wanted was to create a memorable night for our friends and family. That is exactly what happened! I loved dancing the night away with my grandmother on one side, who I’ve never seen dance before in my life, and my brother-in-law on the other side, who is a professional dancer. The dance floor was filled the entire night!
I had so much fun that I forgot to change out of my heels until late into the night. By the time I remembered to take them off I had multiple blisters, however, I was having so much fun that I didn’t even realize my feet must have been hurting! It was the perfect night of dancing and laughing that brought together all of the people we most loved.
5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?
WeddingMix helped to capture the laughter and dancing from our wedding. Everyone has a cell phone so it was easy to for our friends and family to contribute to our video. WeddingMix provided templates with all of the details which I forwarded to the wedding party.
They were excited to film once we told them how we were planning to use their video. I’m eager to compile those individual videos into one cohesive piece that will tell our story from the perspective of our guests!
6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Use Pinterest and Etsy for inspiration and wedding ideas and then learn how to make the pieces that most inspire you. Get creative!
