DIY Sunflower Wedding in New Jersey| Karen + Steve
In a swirl of sunflower wedding themes, Steve and Karen’s wedding video in New Jersey will have your heart singing with joy! And just wait till you hear the groom’s surprise love song for the bride….cheers to these amazing newlyweds!
Steve and I met 10 years ago as freshmen at Rutgers University located in the heart of New Brunswick, NJ. We were together for 6.5 years before he got down on one knee and proposed to me in Times Square! Shortly after, we began our wedding planning process and I enjoyed every moment of it. We got married in a quaint town called Lambertville, which is located in NJ on August 23, 2014. We chose this place because of the “rustic” feel it had and it was in an old township that attracted many visitors around the world. I’ve never even heard of this place before we got married here.
One of my favorite moments of our wedding day was being able to see the fruition of all the DIY projects we took on; from our guest sign-in board and name tags to the table numbers and party favors. A lot of the details incorporated on the wedding day were handmade. We even made our own centerpieces with the sunflowers! Another favorite memory of mine from our special day was a surprise performance by my then fiancé. He wrote me a “love” song and surprised me (and the wedding guests) with it!
Our special day went by so fast! Before the wedding, everyone kept telling me that it would go by fast, so enjoy every moment of it and don’t worry about things not going the “right” way. They were so right! Everything came perfectly together and it was magical. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Now that it’s been a month since the big day, I can finally catch a breath; I started looking through our video footage captured by our guests through the WeddingMix app.
I am extremely happy that I went with StoryMix to help me capture moments of my wedding. I got to re-live it and be able to see all our hard and laborious work in its final form. I even got to see other fun moments that I potentially missed out because I was on the other side taking formal pictures or dancing on the other side of the dance floor. I cannot wait to see the edited video provided by StoryMix (after I put my storyboard together).
