Magical Wedding at Georgetown University
$30-40K, 50-100, Local, Traditional, Fall, NorthEast, BallroomUrsela and Carlos tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by loved ones! Their fun WeddingMix video was filmed by the bride and groom’s wedding party. The guests had a blast and and captured it all using their own cameras along with the WeddingMix app and rental cameras. Check it out!
We [also] had friends recording at other points, such as the rehearsal dinner, that a videographer might not have made it to.

Real advice from the Bride & Groom!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
We decided to do DIY flowers, and Ursela spent many, MANY hours, cutting, folding, and gluing about twenty centerpieces and bouquets. Carlos helped a bit too! Along with an assortment of friends who gave an hour here and there to see the project to the end. They turned out great and many of our guests took them home as decorations, so they doubled as extra favors at the end of the night. And it was a big money saver, obviously.
2. Where did you get married?
Dahlgren Chapel, in Georgetown University.
3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
We had originally decided not to have a video of our wedding. However, after watching some of our friends’ videos from their weddings, we changed our minds. By then our budget was set and we were pretty far along in the wedding planning process that we weren’t sure we’d be able to pay for a videographer. Thankfully, some online research led us to WeddingMix, which was the perfect mix of a great product at a budget-friendly price!
4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
The processional into the church (especially Carlos’ reaction to Ursela entering the church!), the first dance between the couple, as well as the first dance with Carlos’ parents and both of us getting down on the dance floor with Ursela’s grandmother!
5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?
By having all of our friends recording, we got a lot of different points of view, instead of just one or two videographers recording from a couple of angles. We also had friends recording at other points, such as the rehearsal dinner, that a videographer might not have made it to.
6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Learn to roll with the hits. Stuff is gonna happen and your budget will not be perfect. Also, always remember that your friends are all there to celebrate your marriage and they’re going to have a great time no matter what. No need to break the bank to do something extravagant thinking that’s what your guests want to see. All they want to do is hang out with you!
