1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
We’re most proud of the fact that our wedding was very us (super nerdy) but also the elegant fun affair I’ve dreamed about since I was little.

2. Where did you get married?
We got married at The Aerie Ballroom in Centralia, Washington. It’s a gorgeous restored 1920s Elks Lodge.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
We couldn’t afford a videographer so being able to rent cameras was awesome. Plus the idea of being able to gather everyone’s photos/videos from the day was amazing. The most important part of the wedding for me are the memories and WeddingMix was a great way to collect them!

4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?
The ceremony, the first dance, the toasts and some of the guests experiences were important to us. We captured some crucial special moments we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
The most important thing is to look at your budget and see what you’ll have to work with after all the saving. Then have a few things that you absolutely need to make your day what you want it to be. Everything else either works out, or you find another way. The most important thing is to be realistic, think about after the fact, and don’t worry about what your guests will think. As long as you and your bride/groom love what you’ve made for your day, nothing else matters.

6. What was your budget?
So RJ and I wanted to pay for our wedding ourselves–which is a huge task but it was worth it. We were able to save up a budget of $12,000 for everything which went further than we originally thought because we found amazing vendors that were fairly priced. All told we ended up having about 100 guests. It was incredible. I want to do it again!
