Regal Rose Garden Wedding Video in North Carolina

I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Meghan and David’s gorgeous wedding video in North Carolina! Perhaps Meghan’s gorgeous crystalline wedding gown, the couples’ first kiss captured in their WeddingMix video, or the looks of joy on all of their family and friends’ faces.

This couple and their loved one had a BLAST at this gorgeous event and we have the video to prove it! I caught up with Meghan to get the details on her Merry Rose Garden wedding in NC:

I planned the entire wedding myself with the occasional help from David. I was so proud of our personal touches and the fact that it wasn’t stuffy. David and I aren’t formal people, and we wanted to reflect that in our day.

[We got married at the] Raleigh Rose Garden in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Our reception followed at the Stockroom at 230. The Rose Garden is so simple but gorgeous. And the Stockroom is rustic with exposed ceiling beams, brick walls, and a great view of the city!

Why was using the WeddingMix app appealing for your big day?

David and I couldn’t justify paying for a videographer. This allowed our wedding guests to play another fun role in our wedding but also allowed us to have a video to remember the day!

I want to remember the feeling of utter bliss. It was seriously the best day of my life. I was so excited to marry David and to have all of our friends and family there to help us celebrate. There were so many important people to helping us grow as people and as a couple and I felt completely overwhelmed with love and support. It was a surreal feeling that I can’t put into words. I wish that I could bottle up the emotions and the fun of the day and keep it forever.

I loved being able to see our first kiss on video. I loved seeing our entrance into the reception. Those were two of the best moments. But our out takes as well. We took pictures in downtown Raleigh in front of the state capital. I wanted pictures of us in the street. Having videos of David’s groomsman stopping traffic was hysterical.

Final Post-Wedding Thoughts

David and I were both really disappointed in the maintenance of the Rose Garden. The fountain wasn’t even filled and the grass hadn’t been cut. I didn’t even comment on it; David brought it up to me when we were taking our pictures. But at the end of the day, our videos were great and we’re married whether that silly fountain was full or not. We just had the best time cutting up with our friends on the trolley and dancing like fools!
