1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

The part of our wedding that I’m most proud of is how much it felt like us. The venue was definitely our style to begin with(very rustic & whimsical), but we also handmade most of our decorations. From the seating chart display, to the table signs, to a custom cornhole board that my uncle made for us.

We also surprised our parents by displaying pictures from their wedding days and our grandparents’ wedding days on the mantles. It just made it feel like we were having friends and family over to our own (huge, beautiful) house to celebrate!

2. Where did you get married?

We got married at a Catholic Church in South Yarmouth (Cape Cod), and the reception was at the Dennis Inn which is just steps from Corporation Beach on the coast of Cape Cod. It was a beautiful June day so we totally lucked out with the weather.

The cocktail hour was outside, and we had lawn games set up for our guests. Dinner was served under a beautiful tent, followed by dancing inside the Inn.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

WeddingMix was appealing to us because it gave us the chance to capture the day through the eyes of our closest friends and family! I loved the idea that it’s a collaborative video, and anyone could contribute if they wanted to. Also it’s very affordable if you can’t squeeze the cost of a videographer into your budget.

4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?

Our “First Look” is a special moment that I want to remember forever. I was so nervous getting ready that morning, but seeing Matt and having a few minutes just the two of us before all of the craziness started was just what we needed.

Also, the final song of the night was “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver, and everyone was on the dance floor belting it out in a huge sing-a-long which was amazing & so fun!!
